Thanks Tommy, the Kraut done good
When Robert returns to Rally HQ it’s usually in 1st or 2nd place but I guess in the IBR 37th out of 100+ is pretty good.
Unlike you I think his placing will improve on Leg2 and the tyre/tire will be directly on his optimal route. Mind I support Sunderland AFC so a lifetime of optimism.
Bet you wish you hadn’t asked now?

Well done Robert, a good start. I guess many of the other riders will be needing tyre changes in the coming days, (except, perhaps, for those on the dark side), so hopefully this won’t set him back too much. Let’s hope the leg 2 bonuses allow him to plan a good route (rout) via Denver!

Comments… Mmm, how about: A rider cracks his sump riding off a kerb. Or curb, as the Yanks would have it. Clearly, Robert would never do anything so dumb…

If this had happened in the UK, someone would have just called my number …..
Or if their bike broke down in Edinburgh
Or if they lost rear wheel nuts
Or if they dropped their bike whilst on say, a ride in Belgium to celebrate Armistice Day
Or …… etc etc etc

Hahaha while using a K1600
Robert’s Brain is still trained to use it like an XBR

Wroting is your job 😉 -
To me, it looks like Robert is very disciplined and tried not to overdo it. I have a bit of the impression that it is a similar route to previous rallies Familiar terrain so far From tomorrow it will be exciting on the coast?
Good luck RobertAnd You John?
Are you in a limp home mode or can you fix your issues?
“Oriental” repair shops are sometimes very skilled … -
It looks like the rally stuff has a true adventure too
– a sucker point hotel without energy
Ok that is very tough for everyone
and all the riders of this IBA Rally
That is really a proof of every skillGood luck to all of them!

Thanks for the follow-up. Now Robert is in the area that I have explored extensively (hiking though, cannot help him for route planning on the bike), I hope he does not get any heatwave on his way.
