Summary: Riding day from Morogoro to Mbeya in southwest Tanzania (680 km). Summary: got up early; long riding day (530 km) to Morogoro; road conditions are excellent, finally found a hotel with an internet connection (however not fast enough to upload pictures). Summary: Left Arusha in the morning; stopped by a policeman who was only interested in knowing the top speed of my bike. Destination was Moshi, in particular the lodge that I had to leave last Saturday because of mixing up the dates. Summary: In the morning, the started for a mountain walk, escorted by a competent and friendly ranger with a loaded gun; watched a herd of buffalos and walked two hours uphill below Mt. Meru (4500 m). After a break, we descended through a lush forest to the main gate. Summary: oops! No water in the morning (toilet/shower);  before entering the Ngorogoro National Park, the driver decided to ask for help and ordered another car as he didn’t dare to enter the crater with the Landcruiser giving problems; after 1 h waiting time, a rented car in a similar condition with a different driver showed up; panorama picture on the rim of the crater; shortly after, the hired car had a punctured… Read More

Summary: the morning was spent again in the Tarangire Park; many animals spotted and pictures taken (check the pictures); lunch at campsite and transfer to the next camp. Pit stop and welding of the exhaust manifold on the road. Visit of Lake Manyara National Park that is situated in the Great Rift Valley. Hippos spotted.
